Invest for children and Mi Fundaci\u00f3n Alex Joined Forces to Celebrate the 10th Edition of “Somos Uno”<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Somos Uno” took place on 4th June 2025 at the Palau de la M\u00fasica Catalana in Barcelona. We were delighted to have the brilliant presenters Txabi Franquesa and Renata Zanchi, hosting this special evening in support of the full inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. The event also featured magical moments with Jordi Caps, the winner of Got Talent<\/em> 2022 and the humour of Carlos Latre.<\/p>\n

The funds raised have been allocated to two different causes. Invest for children<\/strong> directed its share to Aura Fundaci\u00f3<\/strong>, whose mission is to help individuals with intellectual disabilities\u2014primarily those with Down syndrome\u2014enter the mainstream job market through the Supported Employment<\/em> methodology. This approach enables future candidates to be trained according to their abilities and specific support needs.<\/p>\n

Mi Fundaci\u00f3n Alex, <\/strong>in collaboration with the Catalan Sailing Federation<\/strong> and the Barcelona Capital Nautical Foundation<\/strong>, is leading the Sailing for Everyone<\/strong> project \u2014 an adapted sailing school that promotes inclusive sailing in the city of Barcelona. This year, in June, they will be celebrating the 2nd Edition of the Kakapo Open Race<\/strong>, an International Open Sailing Regatta recognised as a legacy project of the America\u2019s Cup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the same time, they have also launched the Be My Referee<\/strong> project, in partnership with Down Espa\u00f1a<\/strong> and AGF Genuine Experiences<\/strong>. This initiative involves training referees with disabilities.<\/p>\n

These initiatives aim to foster the inclusion of people with disabilities and encourage shared participation in sporting events.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
