Invest for children has done a donation to Mi Fundación Alex in support of two of their most impactful projects: “Vela Para Todos” and “Be My Referee”—both aimed at promoting the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities through sport.
“Vela Para Todos”, led in collaboration with the Catalan Sailing Federation and the Barcelona Capital Nautical Foundation, is an adapted sailing school that promotes inclusive sailing in the city of Barcelona. This June 2025, it hosted the second edition of the Kakapo Open Race, an international regatta recognised as a legacy project of the America’s Cup. Meanwhile, the “Be My Referee” project, developed together with Down España and AGF Genuine Experiences, focuses on training people with intellectual disabilities to become sports referees, creating new opportunities for participation and employment within the sporting world.
Through this collaboration, Invest for children reaffirms its commitment to social inclusion and equal access to sport and education, supporting initiatives that have a meaningful and transformative impact on people’s lives.
