Invest for children and Mi Fundación Alex Join Forces to Celebrate the 10th Edition of “Somos Uno”
“Somos Uno” will take place on 4th June 2025 at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona. We are delighted to have the brilliant presenter Txabi Franquesa, hosting this special evening in support of the full inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. The event will also feature magical moments with Jordi Caps, the winner of Got Talent 2022 and the humour of Carlos Latre.
The funds raised will be allocated to two different causes. Invest for children will direct its share to Aura Fundació, whose mission is to help individuals with intellectual disabilities—primarily those with Down syndrome—enter the mainstream job market through the Supported Employment methodology. This approach enables future candidates to be trained according to their abilities and specific support needs.
Mi Fundación Alex, in collaboration with the Catalan Sailing Federation and the Barcelona Capital Nautical Foundation, is leading the Sailing for Everyone project — an adapted sailing school that promotes inclusive sailing in the city of Barcelona. This year, in June, they will be celebrating the 2nd Edition of the Kakapo Open Race, an International Open Sailing Regatta recognised as a legacy project of the America’s Cup.
At the same time, they have also launched the Be My Referee project, in partnership with Down España and AGF Genuine Experiences. This initiative involves training referees with disabilities.
These initiatives aim to foster the inclusion of people with disabilities and encourage shared participation in sporting events.
