Collaboration with Mi Fundación Alex

In 2024, Invest for children made a contribution to Mi Fundación Alex to support the creation of an adaptive sailing school. This school will provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to experience sailing, promoting inclusion and ensuring access to nautical activities for all. Through this collaboration, the aim is to create an accessible and specialised environment where participants can enjoy sailing while developing both physical and emotional skills, fostering integration and empowerment for individuals with special needs.
Additionally, this contribution also supports the promotion of the Kakapo Open Race, an international adaptive sailing regatta set to take place in Barcelona. This initiative is the result of a collaboration between Fundación Mi Alex, the Federació Catalana de Vela, and Fundació Barcelona Capital Nàutica. The event aims not only to attract sailors from around the world but also to raise public awareness of the importance of adaptive sailing, enhancing its visibility and promoting inclusive sports on an international scale.
